"Toasts and Boasts"
An Appreciation of C4RJ Volunteers
On Thurs. June 19 from 6- 8pm, the C4RJ Board will host a free volunteer appreciation event to thank you, our dedicated volunteers, who have helped make this unique 14-year-old program the success it is today. Thanks to Enterprise Bank for sponsoring this event for us!
Come to:
- toast your fellow volunteers
- meet volunteers on other teams
- reunite with old friends
- hear the latest goings-on at C4RJ
- check out our Finding Courage film (on a side-screen for those of you who haven’t seen it yet!)
- bid on silent auction items to support the work
- enjoy wine, beer, and refreshments with folks like you who care about strengthening community relationships
Did you know that other restorative justice programs marvel at the strength and endurance of our volunteer talent? We don’t take it for granted. So come...let us celebrate you!
Note: The event is free but registration is requested to help us plan. Family members are most welcome. Questions? Call Di Clymer (978.369.7172) for more info.
About our volunteers:
When I interviewed for this job, the board told me there were 80 volunteers. I thought I heard wrong and said, "You mean 18, right?" I was astounded. It's unheard of in this field to have such strength.
- Jennifer Larson Sawin, C4RJ Executive Director
We couldn't exist at C4RJ without our volunteers. They are the ones who really "own" the work on the ground, who practice the principles every day.
- Lauren Rosenzweig-Morton, C4RJ Board President (former Acton Selectman)
I was volunteered on a team before joining the board. I know how hard volunteers work. We'll have a few surprises in store at this event as a way to thank them.
- Di Clymer, C4RJ Board Vice President (Concord)
